Becks Feb 8

becky: Sun, Feb 8ok, so julie traded beds with me last night so the air raid siren could wake her up....oh, while we were updating the blog last night, the air raid siren and sub sonic tones that follow happened and julie heard it....hella feaky...we asked what that noise was and the internet dude said it is a warning signal when the water reaches a certain level. they have been having flooding here the past couple of weeks and the poor store owners have to set up hoses to drain out the water each morning and the mop the floors and clean the windows. the water gets so high it actually gets to the front of the hotel we stay at. no business is exempt from the water.so back to last night, jules who can sleep thru an atomic blast, was actually awoken from the air raid siren...thank goodness i know now how to wake up sleeping beauty...sheesh.after many and i mean MANY futile attempts to find a self service laundromat we finally found one...took a dude from Australia to show us the ropes...when jules took out her laundry she found she had accumulated a pair of mens chonies. what color you may ask...pink, like most mens chonies who have to do their own laundry and wash with red clothing....hahahahahhaha there was some old italian lady upset her dryer was not so hot (literally) and kept kicking it...yeah, hows that working for you...i am not using punctuation cuz i cannot find it on the keyboard....italy is different than croatia and that is different than london...oh well...the dad gum laundry was behind our hotel....we must have walked 40 miles looking for one the last 2 days...we had lunch (ravioli and lasagna) at a cute little place by the water and tried our italian...we are naturals...very flirty waiter....LOVE HIM.the gondola ride is like $145 for 30ins...screw that! we finally found some airfare from another italian airport tomorrow for paris...now we just have to find a way to get there....train or bus. OMG someone here has stinky feet....gag! dammit...on ly 6 mins left...gotta go....ciao
