Becky Feb 5

BECKY day 7? thurs feb 5:

well, no rain last night. we slept until noon...omg the most comfortable beds and they even put a chocolate peanut butter candy on your pillow. the croatian keyboard is hard to type on cuz the letters are all jacked up. so this is slow going....jules and i are the ONLY americans here....way cool. we got raped at the hotel last night using the internet...they charged us 200 kuna for 70 mins while this place across the street is onlz 25 kuna for 60 mins.

the sun was shining and the skz (dammit- stupid Y is hard to find) so the SKY was blue and few if any clouds. there is a bakery across the street and the woman there was kinda of cool to us...but i tried my croatian and said Hvlah lah (thank you) and she warmed right up. we are going to try to speak more in the language of the country we are visiting from now on. the language here has a strong Italian influence so everyone sounds mostly italian with some slavic thrown in for good measure. oh, back to the bakery...i had some cresent shaped bread thing...yummy and jules had a pretzel type thing. both were way good.

i needed to climb up this big ass hill to see this really cool building that you can see from our room. we are really getting a good workout...there are so many steps here....jules has been able to get all the photos she wants in all kinds of lighting situations. they should be fabulous.

oh, back to the shower this morning....i thought i would be brave and not shimmy to the floor when i got out of the shower....i will know if someone saw me if i am on the cover of the National Geographic with my u-bangy boobies.

we went rock climbing today over real rocks looking for good photo spots. hella fun...we were able to see all kinds of other islands near here. there are something like a couple hundred little islands just off the coast. the closest one is supposed to be haunted...that sounds fun. my legs are like rubber now. i would suggest to anyone coming here....take aerobic step class for a couple months to prepare.

we picked up some sandwiches from the same little stand where all those men were hooting and hollerin all night the night before...very good and we ate them on our patio at the hotel. gaw this is hard typing with all the letters in a weird order....ugh! the water here is crystal clear, you can see the bottom. omg this really is the most beautiful place on earth. we are both kinda sad leaving tomorrow but venice is another adventure!

julie is lying about the post office woman....she did not like julie and took it out on me! tomorrow our flight takes one hour to reach Rome and then we are there at the airport for 4 hours and then 1 hour flight to Venice. we do not arrive until 2200 hrs so we will probably have to update the blog the following morning.

i could not use my VISA card today to get cash...apparently when i tried to get 100 kuna (it is onlz $17.40 USD) it is below the minimum so i called the bank at $2.99 per min to find out it will work if i take out a higher amount...when u use it internationally there is a minimum you need to take out or it gets declined. sneaky....dadgum this kezboard....UGH

i am trying to come home with ethnic food from each country to eat while we watch the videos...they sure have alot of gummy bear stuff here...gummy peach rings, cherries, etc. did they invent those or did we? MARS bars are everywhere here.

well, i am so ready to eat pasta....whatever julie is typing, just consider the source....i am making her update the blog frist or no beer for heretonight! it is just really amazing the history here in europe...whereas the US is only a couple hundred years old, these buildings have been here for centuries....it would be nice if we did not tear down old buildings but preserve them for future generations.

ok, i am tired....will talk to you guys probably sat morning....ciao!
